HUGE Match Announced For All In! ROH Vs. Impact Wrestling Confirmed! | WrestleTalk News Jul. 2018

Hello and welcome to the WrestleTalk News,
I am Luke Owen. The world of wrestling awoke to the sad news
that former WWE and OVW wrestler Matt Cappotelli passed away last Friday, and although he may
not have been the most successful star in the company’s history, his death at such
a tender age has hit wrestling hard. However it seems that Cappotelli will get
his recognition, with Cage Side Seats reporting that that following his death, he is being
considered for a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame next year via the Warrior Award. It was reported earlier this week that Ruby
Riott had suffered a sprained MCL during a match at a live event over the weekend in
a losing effort to Dana Brooke. That bit of the story isn’t important, I just wanted
to remind everyone that Dana Brooke won a match. WWE.com revealed that Riott had undergone
an MRI but didn’t give any details on recovery. Rajah are now reporting that Riott’s next
evaluation is on July 30th, suggesting she could be back around that time too. Rajah are also reporting that Bray Wyatt is
set have his next evaluation today following his head-on car crash last week. Wyatt wasn’t
on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, but WWE are clearly hopeful that he will be
able to wrestle in his schedule Tag Team Championship defense against The B-Team at Extreme Rules,
as they still haven’t removed the match from the card. Rahaj write, “his match at
Extreme Rules is still being advertised so that would imply that WWE is optimistic he
will be ready by then.” Moving away from WWE and we’re now just
three months away from Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Rager at Sea, and it looks
like the theme for the four days of wrestling, podcasts, music and sea sickness has been
confirmed with their next match announcement. It had previously been rumoured that the theme
for Jericho’s cruise would be Ring of Honor vs. Impact Wrestling, which was kicked off
when Sami Callihan hounded Y2J on Twitter for a spot on the cruise. And Callihan got
his wish, being challenged by none other than Ring of Honor’s Marty Scurll on the social
media platform. Impact Wrestling’s Callihan was quick to respond by tweeting, “You’ll
never be a Villain to me… I know the real you. You’ll always be “Party Marty”
aka the wrestler dude that was on that one British game show. See ya in October.” And speaking of Scurll, he was also part of
the All In’s double big announcement day. Along with announcing that former Ring of
Honor 6-Man Tag Team Champions Christopher Daniels, Kazarian and Scorpio Sky would be
at the event, All In have announced Marty Scurll vs. the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion
and Dave Meltzer star magnet Kazuchika Okada. And Scurll was quick to reveal via Twitter,
that he has the perfect solution to the Rainmaker. Cody has also said that we’re going to get
new matches announced for All In every week. What’s interesting however is that All In’s
Twitter account announced Okada vs. Scurll as “the very 1st match announced.” It’s
interesting because back in May All In announced that Cody would be facing Nick Aldis for the
NWA Worlds Championship at the show, with Billy Corgan confirming the match at an NWA
press conference. Has that match since been scrapped, or are they planning something else?
Or was it just a clerical error and Okada vs. Scurll is the very second match announced? Either way, that’s going to do it from me
this week. I’ve done so many news episodes. Which is weird, as Oli usually does the lion’s
share of
the work. In fact, I don’t usually work Fridays. What is going on?
